Before becoming an official nonprofit, Comedy For The Goods was already creating impact through comedy-driven community initiatives.

Programs You Can Count On
Monthly comedy shows at Haven for Hope every 2nd Wednesday. Holiday shows at Starlite Recovery Center on Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and every major holiday. Kids Comedy Camp for ages 9–14, launched July 2026. Every show features 3–4 professional comedians, each paid for their work.

Founder Bobby "B Smitty" Smith has brought free live comedy to people who rarely get a night out since 2018, earning community recognition for his Haven for Hope shows. In 2026 that work became an official 501(c)(3), and today our programs run on a schedule you can count on.

Where Your Money Goes
A community show costs about $500, and most of that goes straight to the comedians who perform. With a volunteer board and no payroll, your gift funds shows, camps and scholarships — not overhead. Sponsorship levels and grant information are on our About Us page.
